Jesus wept That was the worst food I've ever eaten in my life. Seriously. It made me sad. Don't. Please, don't. I'm going home to cry now

We were looking for a local place while visiting and came across this place. Doesn't look like the best location but we had the buffet which was great! Salad, pastas, chicken, pizza was good, breadsticks were good & plenty of choices to pick! Service was also good. :)

I've lived in grand forks my whole life. When I was in Ben Franklin elementary we used to take school trips there and honestly it was amazing, pizza, queso dip and the best chicken. I've ordered from them and have had the buffet in recent years and it's terrible. High prices and bad food if you go to the buffet you might get lucky with a couple fresh slices. Its the kind of buffet where you get your food and cup and wait for food to get put out. It's for sale now and I hope new ownership will breathe life into a grand forks institution.

I can only speak to the food that I just had delivered to my hotel. Chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy, also Mac and cheese. It's a shame the food was so poor because the guy that delivered it was great, had a nice conversation with him. The chicken was way overdone, the breast was actually burnt. Terribly dry, no flavor at all other than the grease it was cooked in. Mashed potatoes were o.k., but the gravy ohhhhh the gravy. They could bottle it and sell it. The gravy got them the one star. Mac and cheese was bland. Nice and creamy but no flavor at all. I visit Grand Forks about every other month. I won't be visiting or calling the Moon again.

Great food, reasonable price, nice variety. Beware of lindsey (a.k.a. the napkin nazi). Our server accidentally gave us too many napkins when she seated us. Lindsey, noticing the major infraction promptly scolded her and retrieved the napkins while we were at the buffet. Good save Lindsey......

I agree with the review that said too diverse! The place is very nice, comfortable. But the menu has a little bit of everything, none of which is spectacular. It's all OK, but nothing that'll blow you away. I only go here when I don't know what I feel like eating. I can stare at the broad selection for half an hour and finally figure it out. They have pizza, subs, wraps, burgers, mexican, italian, others I can't remember. The buffet is alright, but go during peak hours, otherwise it's pretty picked over and neglected. Service seems to be hit-or-miss. I've had awesome waitstaff and I've had horrible waitstaff. So I don't really know what to say there.

An institution Cheap food to the Grand City Since I was a child (What the Moon lacks in food quality it makes up for in selection. They have a very diverse menu... perhaps too diverse. This is the quintessential 'Jack of all trades, master of none' restaurant. When you dining companions just can't agree on what kind of food to have, just go to the Moon.)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
